For the first time ever, Vice Ganda recounted a tear-jerking story about his late grandfather and number one fan Gonzalo Dacumos whom he lost in 2014 due to renal and respiratory failure, among other health complications, at 93 years old.

In the April 14 episode of his comedy talk show Gandang Gabi Vice, the comedian narrated a misunderstanding he had with his beloved lolo during the height of his showbiz career.

"'Yan 'yung nalulungkot ako kasi, ang dami kong pagkukulang diyan. Ako 'yung pinakapaborito niyang apo. Tapos pinagawa ko siya ng bahay sa Project 6, doon siya nakatira. Pinapanood niya ako lagi,” he said.

However, their relationship would soon turn sour after Vice began to lose time for his family due to his busy work schedule.

"Tapos may isang pagkakataon na na-realize niya na wala nang panahon si Totoy sa akin. Parang, wala na akong relevance, hindi na ako napapansin ni Totoy. Lumayas siya, bumalik siya sa La Union," he continued.

In tears, Vice recalled personally fetching his grandfather from La Union to bring his lolo home with him.

"'Yung lolo ko, tungkol ko siya. Tungkol siya ng buong pamilya ko," he added.
