Naging trending topic ang very honest na sagot ni Binibining Pilipinas candidate Sandra Lemonon sa tanong sa kanya about the build, build, build government policy kaya ipinasagot ng ilang press kay Atom Araullo during National Breakfast Day gathering sa isang branch ng McDonalds ang tungkol dito.

Ayon kay Atom, mahirap ang naturang tanong.

“That’s a difficult question,” reaksyon pa niya.

Eh, paano ba niya sasagutin ang naturang tricky question?

“There are a lot of different ways of looking at this policy. Building per se is not a terrible thing, it creates jobs, it pumps prices of the economy. A lot of other countries have done that strategy to be able to grow the economy.

“But that’s not the entire story, you have to look at the motivation behind it and… the funding, for example.

“Kailangan ng funding, halimbawa ng social services, why don’t we fund social services instead of focusing on infrastructures, so everything has to be balanced. And although, the idea of build, build, build is proven to be a way of encouraging growth, we have to study very carefully to see if it actually benefits a lot of people,” ang confidently handsome niyang sagot na siyempre ay ikinabilib namin.

During the event ay tinanong na rin namin kung kailan magkakaroon ng commercial run ang first movie niyang Citizen Jake na comeback directorial project ni Mike de Leon.

“Maraming kailangang isipin, maraming considerations, so we have to wait for the next announcement,” sambit ni Atom.

“As a director and the producer, I’m sure that’s something that Mike is thinking about. He doesn’t want any cuts in the movie, neither do I, as a co-scriptwriter, so we really have to see what’s the best thing to do, kung ano ang best move at this stage,” paliwanag niya.

When asked kung anong reaksyon niya na very controversial agad ang first movie niya?

I think, part of the function of this film has already been accomplished.”
