Yesterday, August 28, Anne Curtis remembered that it was 9 years ago since her sister Clare passed away.

She posted Clare’s photo on Instagram and wrote, “As heartbreaking as it was, the only comfort we had was knowing we gained a guardian angel up in heaven. We miss you Clare Bear. You will always be remembered and loved.”

In a former interview on defunct entertainment talk show Showbiz Insider Report, the actress related how her family lost her sister in 2007 to a heart illness when she was just a baby.

'When she was four months na, she was diagnosed with cardioneuropathy, which has something to do with the heart. For her to have a transplant...you can't find a four-month-old heart anywhere else in the world,' she said.

Anne also shared it was hard for her as it was the first time she lost someone in the family.

Clare is Anne’s half-sister, her dad’s daughter with his new partner after her parents separated when she was 16 years old.
