Former Miss International Melanie Marquez was a guest on Jobert Sucaldito and Ahwell Paz’ radio program in DZMM yesterday, April 26. What made her appearance special was Manuelito, her lovechild with Senator Lito Lapid, was also present during the interview.

Manuelito shared that he is currently based in Las Vegas, Nevada and went home to the Philippines for a vacation.

'I'm just here for a vacation. I just needed a little time off po,” he said.

He also shared that what he missed the most was the food, “Specifically certain ulam... I miss the traffic po.'

Manuelito has been living in the United States of America for about 15 years now and Melanie, who’s a hands on mom, shared how she brought him to live with her abroad.

'I was the one who petitioned him. Ako ang nag-petition sa kanya, nasa America din ako. 'Yun lang, may nakialam sa aming relasyon, so napunta siya sa Chicago instead of sa akin siya pupunta then after that, mga after almost a year, he was able to transfer with me din, sabi ko sa kanya, nag-reconcile kami and finally he understood my situation.”

When asked if he’s getting along with Melanie’s current husband Adam Lawyer, he answered, “I get along well with everybody.”

When asked about Lito, Manuelito said he has not yet met his father, who is currently busy campaigning for the senatorial bid of his brother Mark Lapid. Lito is also running for mayor of Angeles City, Pampanga.

'I understand his predicament. I hold no grudges po,” he said.

On the other hand, Manuelito is close with his mom and shared that whenever Melanie is in the USA, he makes a 4-hour trip to visit her.

'I visit her constantly, especially when she needs me, I'm always there for her,” he said.
