However, according to Robin, he would rather focus on father roles instead of doing an action hero one.

Robin has done a number of action films that have dominated the box office. Despite this, Robin claimed that at the moment he doesn't wish to star a TV remake of his own films. This is what he thinks in spite of the success of the fact that the late Fernando Poe Jr.'s movie Ang Probinsyano was remade for TV starring Coco Martin.

'Siguro mas maganda ngayon bigay muna natin kay Coco ‘yung wind. Nasa kanya eh,' said Robin about the Primetime Action King.

He added, 'Baka siya na ‘yung inaantay natin na tinatawag na second wind sa action.'

When asked if he wants to work with Coco in the future, he said, '‘Wag muna natin siyang istorbohin. Hayaan muna natin na mamayagpag ‘yung bata, baka siya na ‘yung sagot sa mga dasal ng mga stunt man.'

Robin's return to the Kapamilya network happened two years after he left the sitcom Toda Max.
