Has anyone else lost their marbles over the latest media drops from Calvin Klein? We have, because we can't take our eyes off one Jeon Jungkook strutting his stuff in Grand Central Station, broad chest and tight six-pack abdominals peeking out from an open button-down. His fellow BTS member Kim Taehyung/V mentioned in a sit-down talk show guesting with another member, Min Yoongi/SUGA, that Chapter 2 isn’t about them taking off their shirts, but with the influx of topless content we still seem to be getting… well, that couldn’t have been further from the truth.

Jungkook—or JK—hardly needs introducing. If you hadn’t already fallen in love with his gorgeous face, soulful voice, explosive dance moves, and endearing personality when you first stumbled upon BTS, then you must have been drawn in by any of the music videos he released when he embarked on his pre-enlistment solo journey. Whether you found yourself loving him right “Seven” days a week or seeing him in motion in “3D,” there’s no denying the appeal of BTS’ golden maknae, who seems to be good at absolutely anything. The Calvin Klein ambassador is a repeat offender in the realm of Tannie toplessness alongside his Namjoon hyung, but really, who’s complaining?

A fitness junkie through and through, Jungkook has always preferred bodyweight movements because he can do them wherever he is and whenever he has time—you can catch him working out right before concerts or even in between takes, especially on the set of Run BTS—saying it’s most important to be consistent. His top three workouts? Push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. One watchful ARMY was able to take note of one of his routines, sharing it on social media for everyone to try.

Here’s the breakdown:

  • 100 squats
  • 30 reps of ab exercises (your choice; crunches, dead bugs, mountain climbers, and bear crawls all work)
  • 2 sets of 20 lunges
  • 1 minute plank
  • 1 minute side plank (each side)
  • 15 burpees

This looks simple, but it feels insane. I’ve tried it, and I always feel like I want to cry when I put myself through the wringer again after suffering from delayed muscle onset syndrome. Those squats? Are murder on the thighs. Doing this daily should be more than enough to help you burn fat and build muscle, but it is going to hurt like heck. We definitely don’t recommend going as hard and as often if you’re a beginner—please scale down according to your current fitness level—but you can gradually work up to this or even go beyond when you’re ready.

Jungkook is also an avid boxer, a trait he shares with TXT’s Taehyun, whom he even gifted a pair of boxing gloves to once. Boxing is a great full-body workout; not only is it a combat sport that employs strategic offensive and defense moves, it is also an activity that greatly improves general physical conditioning through footwork and drills. We can definitely see its long-term effects, alongside years of dance training, on how effortlessly Jungkook goes through the physical challenges in Run BTS, often going toe-to-toe with fellow athletic member Jin.

Legendary fighter Choo Sung-hoon aka Sexyama, who appeared in the first season of Physical 100, invited Jungkook to a friendly sparring session and a meal. This is a testament to the golden youngest’s hard work and prowess in the sport; Sung-hoon even said that if he wanted to, Jungkook had the potential and skillset to become a professional in the sport.

In terms of diet, Jungkook isn’t the best at it, once stating that anything with flour and meat easily make it to his favorites list. He loves Korean fried chicken, ramyeon, pizza, and was once famous for his obsession with banana milk. Fortunately, he seems to keep the weight off through exercise and constant mobility. He’s been laying low since joining the military, but his army buddy and bandmate Jimin keeps us updated on Jungkook, saying he’s been acing all the drills and training requirements—not surprising given that the man is good at almost everything.

We can’t wait to see Jungkook and the rest of the boys when they stage their comeback in 2025!
