Kapamilya singer Morissette Amon represented the Philippines at the 2017 Asia Song Festival held in Korea, which also featured international acts including SHAE from Indonesia, MICappella from Singapore, and EXO and Dong Nhi from Korea.

According to Morissette, the Korean government discovered her video on YouTube until they got in touch with her manager. “They were looking for artists sa YouTube, that’s their source. Then, they saw the video, I think what hit the most was my cover of “Secret Love Song.” They tried to find ways to reach to me and they got to my manager, Tito David Cosico. They talked it over and, ayun na, nangyari na po,” she said.

Veteran host Boy Abunda congratulated Morissette and was amazed by the endless possibilities surrounding her career.
