JM de Guzman gained popularity in 2011 when he played the lead in the drama remake of Mula Sa Puso alongside Lauren Young and Enrique Gil. He soon climbed up the showbiz royalty ranks as he took on projects that showcased his acting prowess. One of his most memorable teleseryes is Angelito: Batang Ama. In 2018, he starred in Precious Hearts Romances Presents Araw Gabi, where his tandem with Barbie Imperial garnered a lot of attention due to their sizzling on-screen chemistry. Most recently in 2021, he portrayed a kontrabida in the drama Init sa Magdamag.

Aside from his acting career, JM also has a single titled Sa Mga Bituin Nalang Ibubulong. After singing a few lines on Tonight with Boy Abunda, he explained how music helps him embody different emotions when acting. “Hindi ko rin maaasahan yung sarili ko araw-araw. Yung katawan ko, minsan hindi siya sumasabay. So, music yung nagdadala sa akin doon sa gusto kong pumatahan and maibigay,” he stated.

On talks of his career, Tito Boy asked if he has any plans on becoming a director after he co-produced his movie Kung Paano Siya Nawala which tells the story of a guy who had a face blindness disorder. JM responded affirmatively, saying that he would want to dive into directing in the future.
