Aside from JM de Guzman’s acting prowess, the Kapamilya heartthrob is also blessed with a soothing voice that can melt anyone’s heart away. In his guesting in Tonight with Boy Abunda, JM showcased his singing, guitar-playing, and song-writing skills in a game where he is tasked to deliver a musical piece for his past girlfriends.

When asked to serenade his first ex-love, JM spontaneously created a bittersweet song that talked about a short-lived relationship; but the guy would still consider a second chance to rekindle the flame. “’Di tayo nagtagal noon. ‘Di umabot ng buwan o taon. Pero kung may pagkakataon, pag-ibig nati’y bumalik sa alon. Babalik ka pa, malay mo ‘di ba?”, said the lyrics of the song.

JM also composed another on-the-spot musical piece for an ex-girlfriend whom he remained friends with. The song narrated the guy’s all-out support and love to the girl despite their romance not working out.

Lastly, JM picked the guitar strings to produce a melancholic melody for the ex-girlfriend whom he still has feelings for. The sad tune was matched by equally nostalgic words that went, “’Di kita nakalimutan, ikaw pa rin ipinaglalaban. Kung ikaw ay nasaktan, patawad kung ako ay nagkulang. At kung maibabalik ko lang, hinding-hindi na kita pakakawalan”. The song is originally written by Moira dela Torre and husband Jason Hernandez which they handed to JM for recording.
