Richard Gutierrez is proving himself to be a strong force in the action genre through his intense portrayal in The Iron Heart. Here is a Kapamilya Toplist that collates his biggest, baddest action scenes in the series, so far.

Richard’s character as Apollo works as a secret agent under the country’s elite crime investigation unit, and that means chest-thumping training and to-the-death battles. The video opens with Apollo’s hardcore preparations for his mission to topple down the Tatsulok syndicate group, a member of which killed his father.

As plotted, he managed to infiltrate the bottom of the Tatsulok realm – inside the jail. He faced some of the country’s worst criminals marked by a triangle emblem on their bodies. One time, Apollo, smart enough to smell trouble lurking inside the filthy toilet he was tasked to clean, quickly escaped a detainee’s knife with his sharp punches.

Apollo’s newfound ally Bungo (Mitoy Yonting) helped him hatch an escape plan. They must initiate a royal rumble that would give them the opening they need to sneak into the secret tunnel in the maximum-security compound. Apollo opened the tunnel using sheer force and fought the two cops chasing him.

Immediately, he was attacked by Tatsulok members outside the detention in what seemed like a surprise test of his eligibility to be one of them. Apollo impressed Janus (Baron Geisler) by dominating the fight single-handedly.

He managed to penetrate the Tatsulok hideout, ushering us viewers into one hell of an action-packed ride. He was immediately tasked to participate in a no-holds-barred cage fight where he proved that he can kill a hulking man with just a single blow of his fist. The scene was infused with intense martial arts elements, plus suspense as Apollo finally gets to identify the syndicate’s lord, Priam (Albert Martinez).

To further impress his masters, Apollo led the transaction with a cunning drug lord. He and his sidekick Poseidon (Pepe Herrera) went up against an onslaught of bullets and combats. The chase caused them to be trapped inside a warehouse with a locked gate. But Apollo managed to unshackle the chains with just his hand, much to Poseidon’s awe.

The next scene shows his thrilling confrontation with Janus, who is clearly threatened by the newcomer’s skills and performance. Apollo played the underdog in the beginning, then, deflected the knife pointed at his face and tossed Janus onto the ground, his extraordinary strength on full display.

Taking on a mission that put his mettle to the test, Apollo served an explosive scene where he armed Priam’s helicopter with a bomb. The helicopter exploded as planned but only with Priam’s son Jason (Lance Carr) inside, making Apollo's job all the more dangerous.
