Just like Apollo (Richard Gutierrez), we were elated to see Poseidon (Pepe Herrera) – his legitimate, ultimate, worldwide BFF and OG tropa – back in the Tatsulok headquarters. Finally, we can see them again banter like crazy, but at the end of the day, have each other’s back. Kapamilya Toplist gives you a dose of good vibes by collating the BFFs’ funny moments in The Iron Heart

Poseidon’s side quips balance out Apollo’s more serious nature that it feels impossible to have one without the other. Their chemistry is so strong that sometimes their tandem gives off ‘bromance’ feels.

Even amidst danger, Poseidon can make things appear light-hearted like when he tagged along with Apollo in Delos. He was so clingy Apollo reacted, “Nai-in love ka na ba sa akin? Parang obsessed ka na sa’kin?” LOL!

A lot has happened during their time in Delos, like staying in the same house, with Apollo having trouble sleeping because his roommate was snoring loudly. It was when Poseidon discovered Apollo’s covert mission, and a hilarious confrontation complete with flying utensils ensued. Funny, their confrontation looked like a married couple’s fight with intense ‘batuhan’ and ‘sigawan.’

But when he liked the feeling of doing a good deed, Poseidon hugged Apollo and vowed, “Hindi ko alam kung ano ‘yang ninja code na sinumpaan mo pero palalampasin ko muna. Simula ngayon, boss na kita for life.” Apollo made the scene funnier by inserting his “In-love ka na sa akin” punchline. Poseidon pressed that he has a half-German girlfriend, to which Apollo replied, “Half-shepherd?” Isn’t it adorable how the sidekick brings out the hero’s humor?

We used to look forward to their banter in their hideout. There was a scene where Poseidon welcomed Apollo back to their place one morning, saying, “Umaga na ah! Bakit ngayon ka lang? Uwi ba ‘to ng disenteng lalaki?” He handed him the broom and sat on the couch like he is the boss.

When the gang met Venus (Sue Ramirez), we thought Poseidon would make a move on her like the rest of the guys. Instead, he showed jealousy, introducing himself as Apollo’s original best friend and then dramatically asking why Apollo learned to keep secrets from him. The guys dragged Poseidon out of the scene, so Apollo and Venus were left making fun of him. “Wala pa kasing kain ‘yun,” he said. “Mukhang wala ring ligo,” she remarked. We think Venus won’t get in the way of the guys’ friendship, right?

But, Poseidon had to leave for his safety after their intense encounter with a different faction of Tatsulok. Though Apollo tried to make things light with the jokes he learned from his friends, still he couldn’t hide his feelings of sadness and pain. In their dramatic yet funny conversation – it always has to be that way – Poseidon promised that they will forever be ‘sanggang-dikit.’

They kept in touch even if Poseidon was in the province with his family. Sharing a phone conversation, Apollo said he’s happy to know that Poseidon is safe, much more so that he left the rogue life behind. Again, there had to be comedic parts in their every exchange, with Poseidon insisting that Apollo is missing him.

Finally, our hearts were happy when Poseidon went back to Tatsulok. The good thing was Apollo arrived on time, as he always did, to save his best friend from Orcus (Christian Vasquez)’s killer welcome treat. “Yakapin mo ako,” Poseidon told Apollo as soon as the equally crazy Orcus left.

In the final scene in this montage, Poseidon was caught gawking at Apollo’s polished new look. It was a slow moment we thought he fell in love with Apollo for real, but it turned out he was just jealous that his boss looks like a KDrama leading man while he was asked to wear a red mechanic suit.

With the comeback of Apollo and Poseidon’s amusing tandem, we now have more reasons not to miss an episode of The Iron Heart, airing weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5 and A2Z.
