Direk Theodore made his directorial debut via the teen romantic comedy "Just the Way You Are" starring Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano. From page to screen, with the movie being adapted from the e-novel "The Bet", Direk Theodore was able to capture the innocence and recklessness of youth, which all build up a complicated yet irresistible world of young love.

After this successful directorial debut, Direk Theodore also proved he can rake in the bucks at the box office with back-to-back blockbuster films: the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Vince and Kath and James" starring Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia, and Ronnie Alonte; and the John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo-starrer of 2017, "Finally Found Someone".

His mettle when it comes to helming the romance movie is further proven by the success of the sequel of "Vince and Kath and James" — "James and Pat and Dave" in 2020, which was also well-received by audiences.

But while his film repertoire is something Direk Theodore certainly ought to be proud of, there's one more thing audiences might not know about him: that he also has a background as story editor of reality shows in the Philippines! No wonder he was tapped to direct the country's first-ever queer dating reality show under Black Sheep, "Sparks Camp", where 10 single guys look for their "spark" in the great outdoors, until they find that special someone.
