MANILA, Philippines – Kazakhstan's Zhetysu and Vietnam's VTV Bình Điền Long An are the finalists of the Philippine-hosted 2025 AVC Women's Champions League.

The two teams advanced to the championship round on Saturday after eliminating their semifinal rivals, Thailand's Nakhon Ratchasima and China's Beijing Baic Motor, from title contention.

The Kazakhs were the first to enter the finals after sweeping the Thai powerhouse, 25-20, 25-21, 25-21, earlier in the day.

Karyna Denysova led the offensive charge with 14 points, while Yuliia Dymar and Valeriya Yakutina had 12 each.

Yakutina imposed her presence on the net, listing seven kill blocks.

In a tie game in Set 3 at 20-all, the Kazakhs took the finals spot by rallying to a 5-1 run, concluded by a game-winning attack by Denysova, sending the Thais packing.

Meanwhile, VTV Bình Điền Long An will be bannering Southeast Asian pride after ousting Baic Motor — the quarterfinal tormentor of Petro Gazz — 25-15, 25-19, 25-21.

Thi Thanh Thuy Tran, also known as "T4", paved the way for the Vietnamese's finals appearance by collecting 17 points built on 13 attacks, three blocks, and a service ace — headlining four players in twin-digit scoring.

Thi Nhu Quynh Vi had 14 points, Thi Phuong Lu tallied 13 points, and Polish player Natalia Lijewska delivered 10 markers including three kill blocks.

Zhetysu and VTV Bình Điền Long An's gold medal match is slated for Sunday, April 27. First serve is scheduled at 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, Nakhon Ratchasima and Baic Motor still have a chance to secure a podium finish as they battle each other in the bronze medal match at 4 p.m. on the same game date.
