MANILA -- The VALORANT Masters Toronto journey may end early for Paper Rex after suffering a loss to fellow VCT Pacific squad Gen.G in a 2-0 sweep in the 1-0 bracket of the Swiss stage.

In Ascent, Gen.G was in control for most of the first half by winning 7 straight rounds off the gate. PRX managed to break the streak and take four rounds to end the half at 4-8.

The 2nd half saw PRX begin the comeback by taking two three-round win streaks and nearly forcing overtime. But the Tiger Nation managed to hold off PRX and end in regulation to take the map at 11-13.

The W Gaming squad could not replicate their previous success in Icebox as Gen.G was in the driver's seat throughout the first half, concluding in 3-9.

The Korean squad eventually put PRX away in the second half without giving up a round and concluded the map at 3-13.

Despite the loss, PRX will have another chance to qualify for the playoff stage on June 11 (June 12, Manila time), but will need to take the dub to stay alive in the tournament.
