BANGKOK -- Absolute cinema went down in Bangkok as T1 defended the VALORANT Champions Tour turf by winning the VALORANT Masters Bangkok grand finals against VCT Americas' G2 in five maps and ending the series at triple overtime.

It was a back and forth between the two teams during the whole series with T1 breaking the deadlock on the decider map, Pearl, at the end of regulation with a 16-14 score line.

Prior to the rubber match at Pearl, G2 started strong with a two-map ban advantage and won Lotus, at 5-13.

The Korean super team tied the series at Haven with 13-9. Then G2 won back the lead with 11-13 at Abyss.

T1 then evened the series once again on overtime at Split at 15-13, forcing the decider and go on to win the tournament.

Kim "Meteor" Tae-o received the MVP honors for the tournament with a total of 94 kills, 96 deaths, and 30 assists.

Meanwhile, Meteor earned a second championship title after winning in Masters Shanghai with Gen.G.

T1 overcame great odds to win their Masters title. Coming in as the second seed from the VCT Pacific 2025 Kickoff behind fellow Korean squad DRX, they ran through the lower brackets of the Swiss stage and playoffs, losing to Team Vitality and reigning VCT champs EDward Gaming.

But T1 managed to exact revenge on Vitality, EDG, and even DRX in the lead up to the grand finals.

T1 made their mark as the second Masters winner from VCT Pacific, following the footsteps of Gen.G.

The win also puts T1 ahead of the championship points standings in VCT Pacific, raising their chances of qualifying for VALORANT Champions Paris in September.
