MANILA, Philippines – Aurora Gaming Country Lead Elrasec "Boss Rada" Ocampo believes their time is now in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang scene.

The team, which suffered multiple heartbreaks — including an early exit in the M6 World Championship in Malaysia and a first runner-up finish in the MPL Season 14 — made them stronger, at least according to Boss Rada.

According to the renowned team manager, their chemistry and communication have become better than ever, which are keys to better performance in any sporting event.

"This is the best version na talaga [ng Aurora]," Rada told ABS-CBN News.

"In terms of their growth, it's more of — talagang mas navo-voice out na nila. 'Yung tone and delivery, ang dali na nilang ma-express: ''Yung may mali ba? Ano ba yung tama? Ito ba 'yung dapat yung gawin?'" he said.

"And then, in terms of communication, it's... mas magaan na siya. Kumbaga talagang mas napag-uusapan. Lahat ng ways and methods na pwede nilang [gawin], kung paano nila dapat i-express maybe sa coaches nila, maybe sa peers nila, or sa teammates nila, sobrang napag-uusapan na to a point na okay, eto na talaga. Parang eto na 'yung pinaka-magandang form na lahat light lang. Nae-execute kaagad, na napag-uusapan ang mga bagay."

Aurora retained its M6 and MPL S14 core for this year's campaign, although the team let go its roamer, Ben Seloe "Benthings" Maglaque, earlier this year.

The team is still joined by Edward Jay "Edward" Dapadap, Jonard Cedrix "Demonkite" Caranto, Kenneth Carl "Yue" Tadeo, Jan Dominic Del "Domeng" Delmundo, and Renejay "Renejay" Barcarse.

But all things considered, for a squad which just entered the local MLBB scene, Aurora has already proved itself.

They almost took down eventual M6 world champion Onic Philippines in last season's finale. However, an almost will not be enough as they aim for the mountaintop, said Boss Rada.

"Siyempre, top 2 ka na, locally. Ayun na yung pinaka-highest point na na-achieve ni Aurora, where, in fact, we really wanted to make sure na maging top 1 siya," he said.

"Talagang we're really aggressive to be on that rank, kasi nagawa na namin siya before. Nagkataon lang na talaga na may mga siguro konting mga roadblocks. But what I'm expecting right now, with all of those experiences and heartbreaks for sure, yung mismong naipon na learnings namin, ang expectation ko na lang talaga is dire-diretso na itong magkaroon kami ng magandang result for Season 15."

Right on cue, Aurora started its Season 15 run with a bang, outclassing newcomer Twisted Minds, 2-0, on Friday.
