Klarisse de Guzman looks back on career struggles prior to joining 'PBB'

Singer Klarisse de Guzman opened up about career struggles prior to joining Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.

In an interview with Boy Abunda, Klarisse candidly shared that there were times when she felt left behind in her career.

"May mga times po talaga before na feeling ko napagiiwanan na ako. 'Yung mga kasabayan ko po is bongga na ng career. Ako napag-iiwanan na, steady lang," she recalled.

Despite the challenges, she chose to stay grateful for having consistent work. "But 'yung iniisip ko na lang po nun okay lang basta may work, basta may trabaho ako, basta longevity, as long as nandiya-diyan ako," she shared.

Rather than let discouragement take over, Klarisse said she used those moments as fuel to push harder. "Ang tinuro po sa akin nung mga panahon na 'yun is mas sipagan pa, mas galingan," she stated.

Now, Klarisse feels thankful for the new opportunities that PBB has brought her. "That's why thankful po ako sa PBB kasi grabe hindi ko po in-expect na now medyo mas nadagdagan 'yung nakakakilala."

"Hindi na ako singer, komedyante na, and kung kusinera pa," she quipped.

Reflecting on her journey, Klarisse emphasized that success comes at different times for everyone. "Talagang may kanya-kanyang timing lang po talaga," she remarked.

Klarisse, alongside her duo Shuvee Etrata, were evicted from the PBB house on June 14 after placing third, receiving the lowest percentage of votes among the three nominees at 31.50%.

Following the conclusion of her journey in PBB, Klarisse to express her gratitude to those who supported her journey and her tandem with Shuvee.

"Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng sumuporta at nagmahal sa amin ni @shuveeetrata as team ShuKla. Di man kami pinalad, Masaya naman po ang puso namin dahil sa inyong lahat. Grabe kayo mga mowms!" she posted on her Instagram page. 

The singer also thanked the PBB team for giving her the opportunity to be part of the show. "Thank you so much @pbbabscbntv sa napaka-saya at di malilimutang experience na to. Maraming salamat po kuya! Totoo ngang may magic ang bahay mo. Kuya, I Love you 3x a day! Maraming salamat po sa lahat. I miss you, wag ka papalipas ng gutom. Chareng!" she said.

Klarisse also encouraged the viewers to continue supporting the remaining PBB housemates. "Patuloy po sana nating suportahan lahat ng natitirang pang mga housemates❤️," she remarked.
