MANILA, Philippines – Phoenix kept grand slam-seeking TNT winless in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup, 95-81, on Friday at the Ynares Center Montalban in Rizal.

A 28-14 first quarter for the Fuel Masters was telling for what was about to happen, as they cruised to a 50-32 halftime lead en route to a 14-point victory over the Tropang 5G as the buzzer sounded two quarters later.

Jason Perkins got the hot had tonight for the Phoenix side, registering 27 points including 3-of-3 makes from beyond the arc, to go with six rebounds and three assists.

Tyler Tio was there to chip in 16 points, and also built on three triples, four assists, and three rebounds, while Ken Tuffin and Kai Ballungay collected 11 points each.
