MANILA (UPDATED) – After stumbling in their last outing, Mike Phillips and the De La Salle Green Archers vented ire on the FEU Tamaraws, 68-62, in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Green Archers regained their form to clinch a bounce-back win after shock loss to the University of the East last Sunday, 71-75.

Discussing their UE defeat, coach Topex Robinson said it made them return back to Earth after getting used to winning.

"I guess, it kinda cleaned up the pressure of not losing. You know, when you get so used to winning, parang kasalanan na matalo ka. But I guess what it did to us as a team was it grounded us," Robinson said.

Phillips took charge in the scoring and rebounding departments, listing a 13-14 stat line, while reigning MVP Kevin Quiambao also had 12 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists.

They now have a 4-1 win-loss card behind current top team University of the Philippines (4-0).

Meanwhile, the Tamaraws have yet to see the dawn, losing their fifth straight game in as many games.

Despite the defeat, big man Mo Konateh grabbed 25 rebounds and had 12 points, while Janrey Pasaol top-scored for the sliding FEU with 13 points but had eight turnovers.

The Tamaraws outscored Robinson's wards in the third canto, 22-13, but the Green Archers regrouped in the payoff period, as Phillips' dunk off an offensive rebound sparked a short La Salle run from a 55-56 count to a 62-56 separation  a lead which they held for the rest of the frame.
