(UPDATED) The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Season Cup title still remains elusive for the Philippines, after Falcons AP Bren (FCAP) were outclassed by Malaysian squad Selangor Red Giants in the Grand Finals, 4-3, held at the Boulevard Riyadh City, Saudi Arabia.

The MSC 2024 trophy is Malaysia's first international title, and podium finish. SRG is not amiss of Filipino pride, with Pinoy coach Michael "Arcadia" Bocado, and players Mark "Kramm" Rusiana and John "Innocent" Banal as part of its roster.

"Biglang nagbago kasi nung nakita natin ang past performances nila ang gulo. Pero kanina pinakita nila yung best nila and gusto nila manalo kaya tinalo nila kami. Nilabas nila ang 100 percent nila every game hanggang sa umabot ng Game 7," FCAP EXP-laner David Charles "FlapTzy" Canon told the press in a hybrid press conference.

(Their performance improved because we knew at first that they play a bit chaotic. But they showed their best a while ago and now they are motivated to win that's why they beat us. They had their 100 percent every game until it reached Game 7.)

SRG had a fighting chance in the 14th minute mark of Game 1, clearing one of FCAP's turrets. But FCAP capitalized on missteps by John "Innocent" Banal and Mark "Kramm" Rusiana to put up a wipeout.

An early maniac by Marco "Super Marco" Requitano during a FCAP counter attack gave the Hive a lopsided lead. But SRG were quick to the chase, after Muhammad Haqqullah Bin Ahmad "Sekys" Shahrul Zaman stole the lord and Innocent took down a couple of turrets.

Sekys would take down another lord a few minutes later as SRG went for the lengthy base siege.

Michael "KyleTzy" Sayson went riot against a team composition dedicated to counter him in Game 3, erupting with 11 kills, without a single death on top of 6 assists.

SRG immediately countered with their own dominant outing, barring FCAP from getting a single kill in the first 13 minutes of Game 4. FCAP showed signs of life after they stole the lord. After a bit of a push and pull between both sides, SRG found their opening, after Kramm put up a triple kill leading up to a wipeout.

In Game 5, SRG erased FCAP's early game lead after an implosion by Muhammad Qayyum Ariffin Bin "Yums" Mohd Suhairi, leading up to a 3-man takedown and the lord kill, before snowballing towards match point.

But FCAP quickly picked up the pace, barreling through Game 6 to even the series. But SRG reigned with a dominant showing of their own in Game 7.

Sekysss was hailed the Finals MVP of the seven-game affair.

Reigning world champs Falcons AP Bren will end their campaign at second place, with a $500,000 share of the $3-million prize pool.
