MANILA – Chery Tiggo has tapped Khat Bell to play as the team's import for the upcoming 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.

The organization, which pins its hopes on Bell to help surpass its fourth-place finish last All-Filipino tilt, announced the development on Wednesday.

For her part, Bell expressed her excitement to bolster the Crossovers and said she was looking forward to playing again in the country.

“I’m so excited to announce that I’m finally playing back in the Philippines for Chery Tiggo! I’ve been looking forward to coming back to Manila for a very long time now, about four years since COVID, and I cannot be more excited and happy to be back here for the fans, playing for Chery,” Bell said in a statement.

The 31-year-old seasoned spiker played in the now-defunct Philippine Superliga from 2018-2020 for Petron.

Bell was also a recipient of 2019 Best Outside Spiker award in the 2019 PSL Grand Prix and has played in Turkey, Korea, and the United States for the Pro Volleyball Federation team Vegas Thrill.

The Crossovers' import also bared what she could offer to the table--a winning mentality.

“For the fans that don’t know me, I bring a lot! I bring energy, I bring a little sass, and definitely I bring a winning mentality. I’m excited to be able to come back here and perform to the best of my ability, and hopefully help Chery Tiggo get to the top.”

It will also be a reunion with former Petron teammate Aby Marano.

“Even though I’m new to Chery Tiggo, I’m fortunate enough to be playing with Aby. There are a few players as well that I’m excited to see, my old teammates from my old team. Coming to Chery Tiggo, I’m really excited just to be here,” she said.

Meanwhile, Galeries, which looks to overcome its 3-8 finish during the 2024 All-Filipino, has some additions ahead of the upcoming tilt in July.

The team has tapped Roselle Baliton and Shannen Palec to help their campaign in the Reinforced Conference.
