MANILA -- The TNT Tropang GIGA clawed out of a double-digit hole to stun the NLEX Road Warriors, 104-101, in their PBA Philippine Cup showdown on Saturday at the Candon City Arena in Ilocos Sur.

Calvin Oftana scored 27 of his career-high 37 points in the second half to spark the Tropang GIGA, who trailed by as much as 12 points early in the final period.

The former NCAA Most Valuable Player added 12 rebounds and six assists. Roger Pogoy scored 21 points, including the go-ahead three-pointer with just under three minutes left that put the Tropang GIGA ahead for good, 103-101.

Robert Bolick went blow-for-blow with Jayson Castro in the clutch, and his layup with 3:25 to go put the Road Warriors up by one, 101-100. NLEX got a break when Glenn Khobuntin bricked a triple in TNT's next possession, but Oftana was there for the offensive rebound.

The forward proceeded to find Pogoy open for a clutch three-pointer, and the Road Warriors failed to answer in the ensuing possession with Robbie Herndon bricking his own triple.

NLEX still had their chances, but attempts from Bolick and Anthony Semerad failed to find their mark. A split at the line by Khobuntin with 14 seconds left made it a three-point game.

In the final seconds, Bolick lost Khobuntin on a fly-by move but his three-point attempt hit the rim as time expired.

It was a sorry result for the Road Warriors, who saw their four-game winning streak come to an end. They dropped to 5-2 in the tournament while TNT improved to 4-3, having now won back-to-back games.

Herndon had a team-high 25 points in the loss, while Bolick -- the leading candidate for Best Player of the Conference honors -- put up 23 points and seven dimes in a 40-minute stint.
