Basketball star Marc Pingris wished for nothing but good health and more years on the court as he turned 43 years old last October 16.

Speaking to the media following his appearance at Riyadh Season 2024 in Saudi Arabia last Friday, Pingris said he also would have wanted a fourth baby with wife Danica Sotto, but added that it may no longer be possible.

“Ako gusto ko pa pero ‘di na kaya nung isa,” he said.

“Kasi lahat ng kids namin, Caesarean eh, so pinagbawal na ng doctor. Talagang malalaki kasi yung baby. From 8.2 (pounds), yung pinaka last namin 9.2 (pounds). Tapos yung girl namin 8 (pounds),” he explained.

Pingris also said that he does not want his wife to struggle.

“Nasa edad na rin e kaya mahihirapan pa so okay na sa’min yun. Bless na sa’min yun ni God,” he added.

Apart from the health of him and his family, Pingris is praying for continued success in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League where he plays for the Biñan Tatak Gel.

“Maging successful pa sana yung paglalaro ko sa MPBL at marami pa ‘kong ma-inspire na mga kabataan. Kasi sa’tin ngayon mas nauso na yung mga Mobile Legends so kami naman na mga beteranong manlalaro ng basketball, pinu-push talaga namin yung kabataan na maglaro sila ng basketball para tumutok sila sa sports, hindi sa mga gadget,” he said.

Pingris said he was also surprised to have been invited to Riyadh Season 2024 by the Saudi Ministry of Media as part of the Philippine Week in Suwaidi Park.

But he said he was glad to meet and bring joy to Filipino workers in Saudi Arabia.
