MANILA, Philippines -- Pocari Sweat-Air Force standout Myla Pablo and Cignal HD powerhouse Marck Espejo were named Most Valuable Player in their respective divisions of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

This marks the second time that Pablo had earned MVP honors in the PVL. She was also named the top individual player in last year’s Open Conference.

Pablo also took home Second Best Outside Spiker honors, with Creamline star Alyssa Valdez gaining the First Best Outside Spiker award.

“Nagulat ako sa sarili ko na ako ang tinawag na MVP. Akala ko talaga si Alyssa,” admitted Pablo, who was ruled out for the rest of the conference after suffering a back injury ahead of their do-or-die semifinal game against Creamline last week.

“For me, masaya ako kasi nakuha ko 'yung MVP. Kahit paano, natulungan ko rin 'yung mga teammates ko na makapasok sa semis, kahit bigo nga kami for the finals,” she added.

Pocari’s Jeanette Panaga was the First Best Middle Blocker, while Mary Joy Dacoron of BanKo-Perlas was the Second Best Middle Blocker.

Meanwhile, Creamline’s Michele Gumabao earned Best Opposite Spiker honors, and ace playmaker Jia Morado was the Best Setter. PayMaya’s ageless defender Lizlee Ann Gata-Pantone was the Best Libero of the conference.

PayMaya’s Tess Rountree earned the Best Foreign Guest Player award.

In the men’s division, Espejo also earned First Best Outside Spiker honors, while Air Force’s Fauzi Ismail was the Second Best Outside Spiker.

Cignal’s Rex Intal and Vice Co.’s JP Bugaoan were the First and Second Best Middle Blockers, respectively, while John Vic de Guzman of PLDT earned Best Opposite Spiker honors.

Ronchette Villegas of PLDT was the Best Setter, and teammate Rence Melgar got the Best Libero award.
