MANILA, Philippines -- (UPDATED) Boxing trainer Buboy Fernandez, a childhood buddy of Manny Pacquiao, continues to maintain a slim lead for the vice-mayorship of the town of Polangui, Albay, according to unofficial results.

As of 11:26 a.m., Fernandez has 18,345 votes according to partial and unofficial results aggregated from Comelec data. He continues to remain ahead of Atom Borja, who has 16,684 votes.
