South Korean actress and model Lee Sung Kyung is coming back to Manila this July 2023. Philippine events producer CDM Entertainment announced on May 15 that the Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo lead will be in the country for a fan meet on July 8 as part of her “Be Closer” Asian fan meeting tour.

Fans rejoiced as CDM shared the good news on social media. “Get ready for an unforgettable experience as we bring you closer to the incredibly talented and charismatic Lee Sung Kyung,” the announcement says. Apart from the Philippines, Sung Kyung will also be touring in other Asian capitals such as Tokyo, Taipei, and of course, Seoul.

Lee Sung Kyung is widely known for her roles in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (2016), Dr. Romantic (2016), Cheese in the Trap (2016), Sh**ting Stars (2022), and Call It Love (2023). She also has an ongoing series: Dr. Romantic 3. In July 2019, the Korean multi-hyphenate held her first ever fan meet in the Philippines.

In a press conference with the media in the same year, she thanked all her loyal Filipino fans for their unwavering support for her and her drama Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. “She (Lee Sung Kyung) has heard that the Philippine fans really love the Kim Bok Joo series, so thank you very much,” her Korean interpreter translated.
