According to her interview with TV Patrol's MJ Felipe, this is really special to her because it was the last project she discussed with the late Dreamscape head Deo Endrinal. ''Yung plan for Saving Grace is really big, and 'yung story, ang ganda nu'ng story and ang ganda nu'ng lesson and story na gustong sabihin nu'ng serye,' she shared.

In the same interview, Julia also couldn't help but be emotional because of the project's connection with Deo Endrinal. She said, 'Special siya sa'kin kasi parang, siguro, tanggalin natin 'yung 'Grace' sa title. Saving Mara. Sinave ako ni Sir Deo... in many ways. Personal. Career. And I felt na ever since, isa si Sir Deo sa talagang naniwala sa kaya ko. Going back Mara Clara, never kong in-expect na ibibigay sa akin 'yung Clara role. But si Sir Deo, sabi niya, 'Hindi, kaya mo 'yan!' Siya 'yung laging nagpapaalala na kaya ko.'

Once the project was pitched to her, Julia doubted whether she could pull it off or not, but she recalled how Deo Endrinal trusted her and told her she should do it. 'It's for you,' she recalled him telling her.
