An annual award ceremony based in Seoul, South Korea, Seoul International Drama Awards honors excellence in television drama productions worldwide. It has been around since 2006. Filipino actors Alden Richards and Dingdong Dantes won the Asian Star prize in SDA in 2019 and 2020, respectively. This category recognizes up to five individuals from different countries in the region.

This milestone was announced on August 2 by Star Cinema, which produced DonBelle’s phenomenal series He’s Into Her in two seasons. This announcement follows the news that Donny and Belle are starring in a new film, after their debut movie as a love team, Love Is Color Blind.

The Seoul International Drama Awards is now at its 17th edition, and the awarding of the 2022 honorees will be broadcast live on KBS 2TV on September 22.
