Last June 9, Kapamilya celebrity couple Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon sent the public into a frenzy after their surprise wedding ceremony at Alta Veranda de Tibig in Silang, Cavite.
Following engagement rumors that circulated last February, the pair finally smashed speculations and tied the knot in a secret garden ceremony.
On Instagram, Carlo and Charlie’s talent management Star Magic announced that the two just tied the knot, sharing some snaps from the wedding.
“Congratulations to our stellar newlyweds and here’s to more years of love, health, and blessings!” the caption went.

According to ABS-CBN News, part of the entourage are maid of honor Sue Ramirez and bridesmaids Belle Mariano, Kaila Estrada, and Adrian Lindayag. Ketchup Eusebio and Ramon Bautista, meanwhile, are two of Carlo’s groomsmen. Charlie’s Pira-Pirasong Paraiso co-actors Loisa Andalio (candle sponsor), Elisse Joson (veil sponsor), and Alexa Ilacad (cord sponsor) were also special guests at the affair.
Principal sponsors, on the other hand, reportedly include ABS-CBN CEO and President Carlo Katigbak, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN Board of Directors member Charo Santos-Concio, Star Magic Head Laurenti Dyogi, Olivia Lamasan, Maricel Soriano, Vilma Santos-Recto, Viva’s Veronique del Rosario-Corpuz, and Senator Bong Revilla and wife Congressman Lani Mercado.
International wedding photographer Myio Okamoto shared beautiful portraits and wedding stills of Carlo and Charlie, too. The bride was all radiant in her delicate gown by fashion designer Steph Tan, while her makeup and hair are courtesy of make-up artist Marben Talanay and hairstylist July Vito. The groom also looked neat and sophisticated in his black suit by couturier Paulo Lazaro.
With the help of Anj Almeda Events (wedding planning), Notion in Motion (videography), Blackbox Audio Systems (lights and sounds), and 3rd Avenue (live music), Carlo and Charlie’s visions turned into a dream come true as well.
Celebrity event stylist Dave Sandoval told Metro.Style in an exclusive interview that the newlyweds deliberately kept the wedding styling simple so as to reflect their low-key personalities. “They wanted to bring an outdoor feel, so we went with clean lines and simple styling elements which we infused with Charlie’s favorite color which is blush pink, along with other spring-inspired pastels such as peach.”

As for the elements incorporated in the wedding, flowers such as hydrangeas, ecuadorian roses, and tulips adorned the lush garden venue. “We just followed the feel of the venue and added our signature touch of timeless elegance,” said Dave, showing gratitude to his clients in turn for their trust in his artistry.
“Carlo and Charlie are chill, relaxed and fun! I am humbled and thankful for their trust, because aside from their directions on the colors and their request for a mirror flooring, for the most part, they trusted our vision for their ceremony and reception.”
Due to inclement weather, though, Carlo and Charlie decided to stage the supposed outdoor wedding indoors. “We brought the garden feel, with trees and greenery, so Carlo’s dream of a garden wedding still came true,” Dave continued.
Prior to Star Magic’s wedding announcement, meanwhile, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay star Carlo Aquino teased his social media followers with what seemed to look like a prenuptial photo. In the picture, the duo are holding hands with each other against a natural backdrop. “Unti-unti natin gagapangin ang buhay ng nakatawa,” Carlo captioned the post.
Last January 2023, Carlo confirmed his relationship with Charlie Dizon. In February this year, the Third World Romance headliners were also rumored to be engaged, as Charlie was spotted with a ring on her finger.

A day before their big day, however, Charlie Dizon bagged the Best Actress award at the 2024 Gawad Urian Awards for her striking performance in the Filipino film Third World Romance. She considers this feat as a shared win with his now-husband.
