MANILA — An independent candidate for mayor in Zamboanga City was found dead in his home Tuesday afternoon.

The police believe Negrete had been dead for 4 days before his body was found.

Negrete's body was discovered when members of the Mindanao militia, a group of force multipliers which Negrete heads, went to his home in Aurora Village, Tumaga, after they failed to contact him since last week.
