CAAP said that at around 2:04 p.m. on Thursday, an AirAsia flight with plane number APG430 reported the issue which led to the aircraft returning to Manila.

AirAsia, in a statement, said the plane took off at 2:00 p.m. and returned due to "a minor technical issue."

The passengers of flight Z2430 were transferred to another aircraft that departed NAIA at 4:44 p.m. and landed at Puerto Princesa at 5:41 p.m.
