Vice President Sara Duterte attends the attends the House quad committee hearing on the extrajudicial killings, addressing alleged human rights violations from her father former president Rodrigo Duterte administration’s war on drugs on November 13, 2024. Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News/file QUEZON CITY – Three other alleged recipients of Vice President Sara Duterte's confidential funds were named Thursday and are seemingly linked to controversial "Mary Grace Piattos", said House Deputy Majority Leader and Rep. Paolo Ortega V of La Union.

From the annexes of the impeachment complaint filed against Duterte, which entails an issue on supposed confidential funds misuse among its seven articles, two other names have surfaced: “Pia Piatos-Lim" and "“Renan Piatos".

These names are similar but also somewhat different to Mary Grace Piattos, since they only have a singular "T" in their middle name and surname.

Another name that Ortega revealed was "Xiaome Ocho", seemingly named after a Xiaomi cellphone model in 2018.

“Grabe naman ang ‘special treatment’ sa pamilya Piattos. May Mary Grace Piattos, may Pia Piatos-Lim, may Renan Piatos. Ano bang meron sa kanila at parang qualified silang lahat makatanggap ng confidential funds?” Ortega said in a press release.

Similar to Mary Grace Piattos and "Kokoy Villamin", another suspicious name that appeared last December in Office of the Vice President (OVP)'s confidential fund receipts, these new names have no records of birth, marriage, or death from the Philippine Statistics Office (PSA).

“Anong klase itong confidential funds disbursement na hindi natin matukoy kung totoong tao ba ang mga tumanggap?” Ortega asked.

“Public funds ito, pero parang ginamit sa isang imaginary payroll,” he claimed.

The Young Gun also vowed to "expose more members" of what he called "Budol Gang", pertaining to the unique name mentioned in Duterte's receipts.

“The public deserves the truth. Hindi tayo dapat pumayag na ganito na lang, na parang walang nangyari sa napakalaking budol gamit ang confidential funds," he said.

The OVP has yet to issue a statement about the bared additional names, although Duterte reasoned out in December that explaining what some call "fabricated" receipts might "compromise intelligence operations".

The name “Mary Grace Piattos” appeared in at least one of the acknowledgment receipts (AR) supposedly submitted by the OVP to the Commission on Audit (COA) explaining its controversial 2022 confidential expenses. Its peculiarity was questioned during one of the hearings of House Quad Committee last year.

The receipts were related to the ₱125 million confidential funds that were allegedly spent in just 11 days, as revealed by Marikina 2nd District Rep. Stella Quimbo.

With some doubting the actual identity of Mary Grace Piattos, there were already several lawmakers who offered reward money to anyone who could provide any lead about her.
