MANILA — Police Gen. Rommel Marbil, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, on Wednesday said that since he took office last year, over 750 cops have been sacked for various violations.

According to PNP data, a total of 753 PNP personnel were dismissed from service due to various grave offenses, including:

- • 38 cases of illegal drug use
- • 18 cases of robbery/extortion
- • 15 cases of carnapping

The PNP said all disciplinary actions went through "due process, fair investigations, and administrative review."
