Two congressmen said the tri-comm may issue subpoenas if vloggers, who were already subjects of show cause orders, again skip the tri-comm hearing without a valid reason.

"We're not actually running after these vloggers. We just hope that we can give them the proper venue where they can actually share their inputs and so that we can also propose a legislation in order to regulate, to counter the propagation of this, hindi mo ma-police na paglaganap ng malinformation, disinformation,” Adiong noted.

He stressed the importance of the hearing amid alleged involvement of a foreign entity backing misinformation on the West Philippine Sea.
