Job Manahan, ABS-CBN NewsMANILA -- Supporters of Vice President Sara Duterte on Sunday criticized the government during their gathering in front of the Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City, where her chief of staff is  recovering.

Office of the Vice President (OVP) Chief of Staff Atty. Zuleika Lopez was brought to VMMC after falling ill on Friday.

Among the Vice President's supporters is Rico Villahermosa, who traveled from Batangas to Quezon City for four hours just to attend the gathering.

Villahermosa, accompanied by his wife, said he was disappointed with how the current administration is treating Duterte.

"Yes, [ito ay] para kay Sara Duterte. Sa pang-aapi na ginagawa nila kay Sara Duterte. Importante [ito]. Base sa mga nangyayari ngayon, sobra-sobra na ang ginagawa ng pamahalaan," he said.

"Lumuwas ako para lang makasuporta dito," he added.

Vloggers and other individuals clad in green were present, cheering "Duterte!" and urged passing motorists to show their support by blowing their car's horns.

One supporter, meanwhile, held a poster with the words "Marcos resign now!" and held it to the camera.

Senators Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa and Christopher "Bong" Go are currently in the government facility amid the absence of Duterte – who returned to Davao earlier on Sunday.
