Manila — TikTok content creator Jake Rines amused online users with his perspective videos as Pinoy Big Brother's "tsismosong kapitbahay."

Rines called himself the "oldest housemate" for living beside the Bahay ni Kuya since the show's first season two decades ago.

The content creator's first viral video has reached more than half a million views as of writing.

His content mostly provide a new perspective of the PBB House, from someone living at a distance of only a fence from the housemates. He shared hearing all the PBB scoop from the iconic wake-up calls to the weekly challenges.

“Ilang dekada na ata at ilang housemates na nakasama ko o naririnig ko dahil bakod lang pagitan namin,” he said.

For Rines, who once tried his luck auditioning to be an official housemate, living next door gives him a sneak peek of the life he used to dream of ever since the show started in 2005.

He shared he even got the same effect of the wake-up calls as the people inside the walls of the Bahay ni Kuya.

He also likened Kuya as any other neighbor whom he could hear at any random time: “Parang mga kapitbahay ko lang dito, may sumisigaw na mga bata, may mga nag-vi-videoke, kasama na sa [naririnig] ‘yung housemates ni Kuya.”

Rines explained that his first viral video came from the idea of filming himself on their rooftop reacting to what he heard from the PBB House.

His initial post garnered 300,000 views in less than 24 hours, with many users seeking for “more updates.”

Rines, however, clarified his content is intended for fun and he does not intend to spoil the next episodes.

In fact, he found humor in comments telling him that because of his videos, he might be asked to clarify things in the confession room.

The content creator feels grateful for the engagement he is receiving online.

When asked about his favorite season, he responded: “Lahat naman ng season [favorite ko]...pero magiging paborito ko talaga or magiging masaya ay ‘yung season na magiging housemate ako.”
