MANILA -- CIMB Bank Philippines said the money in unauthorized fund transfers has been returned to affected customers.

The digital-only bank on Sunday said it started the reversal of funds to affected clients.

In a statement, CIMB stressed that its core banking system is secure and that customer data remains safe.

CIMB noted, however, that it will keep working to strengthen its systems further.
