The ERC on Wednesday said it has approved the National Grip Corporation's petition to get back the under-recoveries after the commission completed its rate reset deliberations for the grid operator.

The NGCP will be entitled to recover the said amount, "leading to an increase in transmission charges." This was after the ERC adopted the maximum allowable revenue (MAR) for NGCP at P335.78 billion from 2016 to 2022.

The resolution said the NGCP will be allowed to recover the said amount set for 7 years, which translates to an additional P0.1013 per kilowatt-hour in transmission charges. This covers the P0.0629/kwh average increase in transmission charge and an additional P0.0384/kwh corresponding to the under-recovered portion of the increased MAR, it said.
