MANILA -- The Philippines is opening a pavilion to showcase its culture at the Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan.

Themed "Nature, Culture, and Community: Woven Together for a Better Future,” the pavilion has more than 200 woven panels created by artisans from across the country.

It also has a film-inspired anime façade that honors Japanese culture. It also features an artificial intelligence-powered installation called “Dancing with Nature.”

The pavilion also has an area for live performances, where artists from the Cultural Center of the Philippines will perform daily.

It also has immersive digital installations, a Habi Gift Shop where guests can buy artisanal crafts, a Hilot Wellness Space where they can get a massage, and a Hain Takeout Counter try Filipino food like adobong manok sa gata and halo-halo.

World Expo 2025 Osaka is opening on April 13, but the Philippines hosted an exclusive media preview on April 9. The response from the international media has been "overwhelmingly positive,” said Tourism Promotions Board Chief Operating Officer Marga Nograles.
