MANILA — AirAsia Philippines said it is celebrating the Chinese New Year with discounted flights as low as P122 one-way base fare for select destinations.

The low cost carrier its 2.2 Sale draws inspiration from the auspicious symbolism of the number 2, which signifies harmony and prosperity.

From January 27 to February 2 can buy discounted tickets for flights before the Lunar New Year or as late as July 31, 2025 to  destinations like Kalibo, Caticlan, Puerto Princesa, Tagbilaran, Cebu and other cities.

"Exciting destinations like Taiwan, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, and Osaka are now within easy reach, with over 500k seats available for booking via MOVE App," AirAsia said.

The company has seen a strong start to the year with a significant increase in seat sales including the previous three consecutive promos for the month of January, recording a high demand for top domestic routes, said AirAsia Philippines Communications and Public Affairs Head, First Officer Steve Dailisan.

"This positive trend will further drive us in providing accessible air travel options for Filipinos,” Dailisan added.

Fares are also expected to remain low as the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) has maintained the fuel surcharge at Level 4 for domestic and international flights from February 1 to 28, 2025.

"Domestic flight surcharges range from P117 to P342, while international flight surcharges range from P385.70 to P2,867.82, depending on the destination," AirAsia said.
