MANILA (UPDATED) -- The low pressure area approaching the Philippine area of responsibility has become a tropical depression.

PAGASA said the tropical depression was located 1,255 km east of southeastern Luzon, outside the Philippine area of responsibility at 10 p.m. Sunday.
