<figure class="op-interactive"><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="350" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/F478uuzJg00" width="600"></iframe></figure><p>MANILA - Malacañang and the national police on Monday launched their respective hotlines for receiving public complaints and emergency calls.</p><p>The President&#x27;s Hotline or 8888 is dedicated to complaints against fixers, scalawag officials and poor government services.</p><p>Callers will be asked to identify the government employee and agency tagged in their complaint, date and details of the incident, their proposed solution and contact details.</p><p>The complaints will be forwarded to both the concerned agency and the Office of the President within five days.</p><p>Ariel Ronquillo of the Civil Service Commission said the hotline has received 76 calls from the public, as of past 6 a.m. Monday.</p><blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p dir="ltr" lang="tl">Dial 911, inilunsad ng Philippine National Police | via <a href="https://twitter.com/dzmmPatrol44">@dzmmPatrol44</a> <a href="https://t.co/BGIOSIaaa1">pic.twitter.com/BGIOSIaaa1</a></p>— DZMM TeleRadyo (@DZMMTeleRadyo) <a href="https://twitter.com/DZMMTeleRadyo/status/759934151319392256">August 1, 2016</a></blockquote><script async="" src="~//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charSet="utf-8" type="text/javascript"></script><p>The Philippine National Police (PNP), meanwhile, is now ready to receive emergency calls through hotline 911.</p><p>PNP chief Ronald &quot;Bato&quot; Dela Rosa said policemen will serve as the first batch of respondents to 911 calls.</p><p>Plans were still being ironed out to connect the hotline with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and calamity response agencies, Dela Rosa said.</p><p>He also urged the public to refrain from making prank calls to the hotline. &quot;This will clog up the lines and prevent people with real emergencies to reach us.&quot;</p><p>Hotline 911 received 2,475 recorded calls, between 12 a.m. to 7 a.m. Monday.</p><p>Out of the total, only 75 calls were legitimate while the 1,119 were dropped and 1,356 were prank calls.</p><div><strong>-- With reports from Tina Marasigan and Maan Macapagal, ABS-CBN News; Henry Atuelan, DZMM </strong></div>
