MANILA--Anti-narcotics operatives confiscated some P1.1 billion worth of suspected shabu during a raid inside a village in Muntinlupa City on Tuesday.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) also arrested 4 Chinese citizens believed to be members of the Chinese-run Golden Triangle syndicate.

PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino said his group first conducted a buy-bust operation outside a shopping mall on Madrigal Ave., where 3 suspects were caught with more than 40 kilos of supposed crystal meth, locally known as shabu.

In a follow-up operation, operatives raided a house inside Ayala Alabang Village and discovered more than 100 kilos of drugs concealed inside tea bag boxes and biscuit tins. They also arrested another Chinese national.
