While the ABS-CBN Ball 2025 embraced a Spring Formal dress code—traditionally a celebration of pastels, florals, and soft, airy hues—a handful of daring stars chose to defy the norm, captivating the red carpet in bold, dark-colored gowns. Against a backdrop of blush pinks, powder blues, and lavender tones, these style risk-takers stood out in deep earth shades like espresso brown, forest green, plum, and charcoal. Their fashion choices brought a dramatic contrast to the evening’s ethereal theme, proving that elegance isn’t limited to light palettes.

Maymay Entrata made a stunning entrance in a glittering Michael Cinco gown. The deep-brown shade stood out among the sea of pastels on the red carpet. Maine Mendoza also opted for a shade of brown. Hers is a cool, muted brown ball gown by Patty Ang. Michelle Dee attended the Ball in a gorgeous clay-colored dress by Mark Bumgarner.

Those who turned up in deep berry shades were Janine Gutierrez in Mark Bumgarner, Ashley Ortega in Vee Tan Studios, and Analain Salvador in Ehrran Montoya. Spring could also mean vibrant sunsets! This was embodied by Chie Filomeno in her orange tulle gown by Mark Bumgarner. It's also fitting to mention the stylish black eveningwear looks of Iza Calzado and AC Bonifacio, which were elevated by floral accents.
