Two decades after Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami revolutionized luxury fashion with their bold, playful, and utterly collectible collaboration, the legendary duo reunites for Louis Vuitton × Murakami. This re-edition doesn’t just revisit the past—it reimagines it, bringing Murakami’s signature vibrant aesthetic to over 200 new creations infused with cutting-edge craftsmanship and technology.  

First introduced under then-Artistic Director Marc Jacobs, Murakami’s kaleidoscopic reinvention of the classic LV Monogram became a cultural phenomenon. Now, in 2025, that same spirit of whimsy and innovation returns across handbags, scarves, jewelry, footwear, and even fragrances. Think: the legendary Monogram Multicolore—more vibrant than ever—adorning Speedy bags, Keepalls, and Dauphines, or the Superflat Panda making a comeback on sneakers, keyrings, and even a skateboard.

But this isn’t just nostalgia—it’s a modern upgrade. Advanced printing technology allows for richer colors, sharper motifs, and an even more dynamic interplay of Murakami’s signature kawaii-infused universe with Louis Vuitton’s timeless craftsmanship.

Just in time for spring, the second wave of Louis Vuitton × Murakami lands this month just in time for Japan’s iconic cherry blossom season. Murakami’s beloved Cherry Blossom motif blooms across City Bags like the Papillon, Boulogne, and Alma BB, as well as luggage, platform sandals, and even perfume bottles. Soft pink petals dance across a spectacular hard-sided Courrier Lozine 110 Fleurs trunk, while a rose-hued Capucines Mini adds an extra dose of playful luxury.  

Bringing this collection to life is none other than Louis Vuitton House Ambassador Zendaya. Photographed by the visionary duo Inez & Vinoodh, she’s captured in dreamy, cityscape collages, playfully interacting with floating cherry blossoms while modeling key pieces from the re-edition.  

More than just a fashion drop, Louis Vuitton × Murakami is a love letter to the intersection of pop art, history, and high fashion. A fusion of East and West, past and future, luxury and playfulness—it’s a reminder that great design isn’t just worn; it’s collected, cherished, and celebrated.
