Rico Hizon held trophy after his show "Beyond the Exchange" on ANC won Current Affairs - Philippines Award  at the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Awards 2025.

MANILA — "Beyond the Exchange with Rico Hizon" on ABS-CBN News Channel scored its first international feat as it won the Current Affairs - Philippines Award at the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Awards 2025.

Hizon received the award at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport in Singapore on Wednesday, May 28.

"On behalf of the men and women of ABS-CBN Integrated News and Current Affairs, the ABS-CBN News Channel, the Beyond the Exchange team with Rico Hizon, it is indeed with heartfelt thanks that we received this honor from Asia Pacific Broadcasting Awards," he said in his acceptance speech.

"This recognition basically reaffirms our commitment to journalism that is accurate, truthful, and balanced. As broadcast journalists, we understand the responsibility that comes with telling stories that matter," the veteran journalist stressed.

The weekly program host dedicated the award to their viewers.

"We will always remain steadfast in our mission to bring truth to the headlines because we are here — the ABS-CBN News Channel —  in the service of the Filipino. Maraming maraming salamat po. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas. To God be the Glory," he added.

The APB Awards recognize and celebrate innovation and excellence in broadcasting projects across the Asia-Pacific region.
