MANILA  -- After her recent stint in the Miss Universe Philippines stage, Filipina-Kiwi pageant veteran Victoria Velasquez Vincent is back in the game for Miss Universe New Zealand. 

Based on the official social media page of the New Zealand organization, the Fil-Kiwi beauty was among the 16 candidates vying to be the next representative of New Zealand to the Miss Universe pageant.

Vincent recently joined in the Philippines' search for Miss Universe. In 2021, she finished as Miss Universe Philippines Charity and wound up in the Top 10 in 2024.

Just this August, Filipina-Kiwi and "Pinoy Big Brother" alumna Frankie Russel withdrew to represent New Zealand after the Miss Universe Organization revoked the franchise owned at that time by Filipino-Dubai-based businessman Josh Yugen of Yugen PR. 

Meanwhile, the new 2024 Miss New Zealand pageant franchise holder set the coronation night this September 29, a month before the 73rd edition of Miss Universe coronation night in Mexico.
