Gerry Palima has gained praise for his hard work and perseverance in doing three jobs in just one day. 

He started his job as a security guard at 7-Eleven in 2003, moving from store to store depending on orders of the management. At present, he is working at a branch across Camp Crame in Quezon City.

In 2020, Palima began working as a delivery rider at Foodpanda, and became a Move It rider last year. 

His working hours start at 6 a.m. as a Move It rider, then he does delivery from 9:30 a.m. until 1 in the afternoon. This is on top of his job as a security guard until 10 p.m. 

He is inspired to do multiple jobs because of his three sons. "Ang inspirasyon ko ay ang mga anak ko na lang. Kasi wala na akong asawa, mag-20 years na nasa akin lahat 'yung 3 kong anak na lalaki. Kaya ginugol ko na lang sa pagtatrabaho 'yung panahon ko," he said.

Palima is happy that his earnings are enough to cover their everyday expenses, as well as installment payments for his motorcycle, house, electricity bills, and other dues. 

"Marami kasi akong binabayaran like hulog sa motor, bayad sa bahay, gastusin sa araw-araw," he said. "Pero kaya ko kasi okay din naman kita ko."

He also encouraged others to try taking on multiple jobs to better secure their future. "Sana 'wag sila makuntento sa iisang trabaho kasi minsan nagkakaroon ka ng problema sa work, eh kung may iba ka pang trabaho di ka mababakante," he said.
