In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the beauty queen revealed she is extending her stay in the Philippines for an important project to watch out for in the coming months.

"Yes I have a new collection that I've been working on and I will make a debut at the end of August I am very excited about it so please stay tuned and that will be my first collection being produced here in the Philippines," she said.

As an advocate of sustainable fashion, the former Miss Universe also wants to share sustainable designs that will fit the Filipino market.

"So one of my goals when I came here, I wanted to explore the manufacturing and sewers and tailors and what supplies are here because I've been living in the States and that's where I produced all of my pieces and now that I lived here I said I wanna work with the local artists," she explained.

Apart from exploring her craft and advocacy in the country, the former Miss Universe has begun to collaborate with Filipino skincare brands which she describes as one of the important things she will use in her stay in the country.

"I feel blessed and I'm very thankful, there's a lot of opportunities here and I am just happy that there's a brand that wants to work with me. Because skin care is really important because, for me, I wear a lot of make-up for photo-shoot or events that is why I love Pina, because at the end of the day when I come home, I need something that can take off and cleanse the dirt on my face," she explained

"I feel the love. You know in the Philippines there's so much love everybody is excited there's a feeling of a community aspect here that I am drawn. And Since I've been here for about three months now, I've felt it, and I'm excited and I am very thankful," Gabriel said.

Gabriel rose to fame after becoming the first Filipino-American to win the Miss Universe crown. She represented the United States during her pageant stint in 2022.
