Serbia's representative in this year's Miss Universe is happy that she finally got the chance to meet one of her pageant idols, Catriona Gray. 

On Instagram, Ivanna Trisic shared a photo of her with the Philippines' fourth Miss Universe titleholder, describing her as "phenomenal."

Gray was in Mexico as a backstage host of the 73rd Miss Universe, where Trisic finished in the Top 30.

"Finally had the chance to meet the phenomenal Catriona Gray, one of the women who inspired me to chase my dreams and join the Miss Universe competition," Trisic said.

"Her lava walk, her grace, intelligence, and passion for making a difference remind me why I started this journey," she added. "Thank you for paving the way for so many of us to dream big and shine bright!"

Commenting on Trisic's post, Gray said she is similarly pleased to meet the Serbian beauty queen. 

"It was lovely to meet you! All the best in your future pursuits!" said the Miss Universe 2018 titleholder. 

To which Trisic replied: "Thank you so much, sweet Catriona! It was such a pleasure meeting you and learning from you. Forever grateful and hope to see you again soon!"

This is the third time that Gray was tapped to be a commentator in Miss Universe, after its 2022 and 2023 editions in the United States and El Salvador, respectively. 

This year's pageant was won by Victoria Theilvig of Denmark. The Philippines' delegate, Chelsea Manalo, placed in the Top 30 and was proclaimed Miss Universe Asia.
